We were commissioned by Albert Heijn to redesign their store in Leidschendam, Holland to reflect their ‘XL’ proposition. By stripping out the ceiling and all non-essential signage and architectural elements it allowed the store to maximise sight-lines and create clear focal points for their hero categories. ‘XL Bonus’ was also boosted to underline the commitment to value and make it distinct from the other AH formats.

We worked closely with their marketing team to develop the in-store communications to add pace and inspiration throughout the customer journey. The store exceeded turnover targets and was delivered at a cost comparable to current spend. This scheme is being continually rolled out across the estate.
