The Kitchen in Double Bay, Sydney is a concept store for Woolworths with an offer centred on ‘wellness, organic and sustainability’.

As well as a carefully curated range of fresh and ambient groceries, each category has lots of incubator ranges from small or local suppliers that can’t be found in the traditional Woolies store.

The store layout maximises its pedestrian location with an open shopfront which brings the abundant floral display and coffee bar seating onto the street. This is framed by a long-counter ‘Kitchen’ serving healthy meals throughout the day with a kombucha bar – or alternatively - wine and beer. The aim is to create a local ‘hub’ that caters for daily routines – from a cup of 100% organic coffee on the way to work – to a sit-down meal in the evening – to topping up on holistic health products throughout the week.
